Bored? Go watch a cheap movie at theatres in the OC!

(Almost) everyone will agree that watching a movie inside a theatre is the best way to go. Going to see a movie, though, is not cheap. The average price of a movie ticket is $10, and in some places in LA you can pay $15-$20. Granted, you get some perks for paying the premium price, but perks or not, its still expensive!

Here's a list of some theatres in Orange County and surrounding area that will show movies for under $3.00. The movies have been out for a while (about 3 weeks or more), but it still beats going watching a DVD, getting it on Netflix, or even downloading it on VideoOnDemand!

Helpful tip: If you really want to watch a first run movie, Costco members can get discounted vouchers to Regal/Edwards/UA, AMC, Krikorian, and Century theatre. The cost varies, but are about $7.00-$7.50 per ticket (must buy in quantities of 2). The Costco tickets have no black out dates, but if you want to use it for IMAX or 3D, you will need to pay a few bucks at the box office.

AutoClub and Entertainment book members can also get discounted vouchers, but I think some of them have blackout dates. Many employers and credit unions also offer discount tickets.
